Test Drive; December
Test Drive
Welcome to the test drive for Time Trapped. This is an open forum to test out your characters to see how they would fit into the game and if you might be interested in apping them here. We want you to feel comfortable and, of course, test drive threads can be used as samples on your application to join.
First, a few housekeeping things before we start:
∞Apps will be open as of Dec 10th at 12 AM, and will reopen on the first of every month. They will remain open until the 10th of each month before closing.
∞Both first and third person prompts are allowed in the test drive. We encourage both. We also encourage making multiple prompt options in your post.
∞Finally, you will be allowed to transfer your test drive threads over into the game canon should you apply and be accepted.
∞If you have any other questions please feel free to refer to the FAQ or contact the mods directly.
Aside from that, happy test driving.
Instructions:

1. Acclimating to the environment
While Gideon has a part of the area sectioned off for now based on her calculations of where the time anomalies are going to occur the area is still large and confusing. It’s easy for a person to get lost or overwhelmed in this big mish-mosh of a world. Perhaps you are lost, or maybe you are just settling in.
2. Reach out and touch someone
Gideon has been kind enough to provide you with a way to communicate. Whether that be a device or a simple SIM card. Why not try it out by sending a public message. Of course, you could also be sending it by accident.
3. Make peace, not war
While LA has become a hodgepodge of different times it has also become a hodgepodge of different areas as well. Exploring the downtown LA brings you to a section of Greenwich Village in New York. Unfortunately what was once a peaceful protest has grown into a fight between Mogul hordes and peace loving hippies who just want to protest. Local enforcement is, of course, trying to sort out this mess but it seems they might need a bit of outside help.
4. What's this strange building?
The 'Hall of Justice' stands in a sorry state as nature is trying to overtake it. Vines are crawling up the walls and there is Dimetrodon sunbathing in the courtyard, or what's left of it. Inside, any technology seems to have been destroyed and there is no sign of life. Still, it is a ruin left to be explored and the local archaeological society is willing to pay good money for relics from inside. Be warned that there may still be some rather nasty traps active inside and around the hall. If you happen to be a from the DC world you might see a few familiar faces among the broken statues that once adorned this building.
5. Let’s dance
The Verdant. A rousing nightclub in 'bad neighborhood' of what was once Starling City circa 2013. There seems to be a wide variety of patrons here tonight, anything from Greek Scholars to some Greasers. What a great place to grab something to drink or maybe cause a little trouble.
6. Dressing in style
Perhaps you arrived in less than ideal clothing. You may have arrived in no clothing at all. It might just be about time to look through some clothing stores and find what is right for you. Of course, it’s never that easy though. There are pickpockets and thieves all over the streets. You may just become their next victim.
7. Home for the Holidays
Little old London town is high in festivities right now. It's Christmas and the area surrounding Big Ben is snowy, though it's a bit melty due to the climate in LA. Festive decor and foods for sale circa 1885 in england and emotions are cheery and positive. Take a horse and buggy or attend a christmas party.
Just hope the mongols don't show up. Or Amazons.
8. Wild Card. Go nuts.
Re: 2
He really doesn't do computers.
Now he's in the training area, peaking around the corner to look at her, ears pivoting towards her as well as his eyes focused on her. Whoops. Maybe he should leave...]
Re: 2
Even the music blaring and the movement of dancing felt nostalgic.
Pushing the feeling of being a ghost in the wrong haunted house down, she looks through the pictures that he was going through. They're all old resonance from missions. They feel like so long ago. Such a different time in everyone's lives. All of this felt like some kind of time capsule that she shouldn't have opened. They were all past this. She was, at least.
She begins the shutdown sequence, glancing up to look at the reflective eyes in the darkness.]
What were you looking for down here anyway?
Re: 2
I just found it, that's all. Didn't know anybody was gonna come here.
[He might even apologize for shooting off a few arrows, or trying.
One of the bows was left on the table in the middle of the room.]
Re: 2
Before Ra's and Ivy Town. Before the Legends and Damien Darkh.
She notices the out of place bow and picks it up, carefully putting it with the rest of them and resting her hand on it. Then she tilts her head, looking out into the reflective eyes.]
Depending on who's here I'm probably the best person to have.
[She doesn't even want to know how angry Oliver would have been to find some random person in here.]
You can come out you know. I'm not gonna bite.
no subject
Getting up on his hind legs after morphing back to his humanoid form he walks into the light.]
I didn't break anything.
no subject
[She lets out a breath, fingers curling over the bow. It happens to be Oliver's.]
This is, sort of a special place.
[So, very special. It was the first place she really started to get to know Oliver and Diggle at, it was the birthplace of Original Team Arrow. It was, well, the place where everything began.]
You're a meta, right? What's your name?
no subject
"Yeah. Sorta. It's Shadow." He replies, as if that were his actual name. He almost wants to ask about who exactly is the hero of this sacred base but he holds that question for later.
no subject
no subject
"So I should leave, right?" He's not sure if he's welcome here at all.
no subject
"We should both go."
no subject
no subject
"Hey, do you have somewhere to go?"
no subject
"So apparently I'm either gonna get assigned one or I gotta pick one."
no subject
She's not sure she likes the idea of leaving this kid out in the wilds of this place. It's a whole lot less safe then any normal city and apparently old guys are trying to pick him up.
no subject
"He's alright." Okay, Gideon then.
"This is the way out?" There's a door over here, in the sub level.
Or are they going through the club up stairs?
no subject
"So you mean Martin Stein?" That's actually good. Martin is one of the best people she knows.
no subject
Once she's out he grabs her hand and starts moving swiftly down the street.
There are some nasty looking red coats marching down the street, and they narrowly make it to cover before they catch up to them.

no subject
"How'd you even get here on your ow--Oh. Right. That's your base, right?" Turning to look at her, he tilts his head.
"I dunno, green doesn't look like your color."
no subject
"It's not, I mean, I'm not. But I look fine in green." She doesn't really want to go around revealing secrets to people she's just met. Even if it might not technically matter.
no subject
Anyway, he's gotta figure out how to get her somewhere safe.
"Where are we going now?" There's no way in hell he's just gonna leave her alone now, even though he totally could. She wasn't treating him poorly which allowed him to accept her as worthy of his help.
no subject
I need to get to a good computer. So, a computer store I guess.
no subject
"The one I saw back there didn't look that bad." But what does he know? It looked nice to him.
"But onward to civilization, yeah?
no subject
"It was. I mean it was more than state of the art for about four years ago, but it's kinda obsolete now. If it's the only choice it'll do in a pinch, but I need something more upgraded."
no subject
"I heard that the moment you buy a computer it's obsolete so I never bothered getting one except the one my dad got for me. It's a glorified paper weight." He rarely uses it. Give him his 3DS and he's happy.
